In this second chapter of Barbara Taylor Bradford's "Woman of Substance" trilogy, Paula Fairley (Jenny Seagrove) survives tragedy, deceit, misfortune and reversal in realizing her business dreams and finding true love with an old friend (Stephen Collins). It isn't easy living up to her grandmother's dreams and running a retail empire as a single but very ambitious woman, but if anyone's up for the task, it's likely to be a Fairley girl.
