Eighteenth-century entrepreneur David O'Keefe (Burt Lancaster) travels the South Seas, sharing agricultural tips with the islanders. Along the way, the swashbuckling sailor becomes enamored with native beauty Dali (Joan Rice) and defends his trade against ruthless enemies. Philip Ahn and Benson Fong also star in this rollicking adventure based on the novel by Lawrence Klingman and Gerald Green.
