This hugely influential TV series (conceived by Steven Bochco) was the forerunner of such ensemble dramas as "St. Elsewhere" and "L.A. Law." The cast includes Daniel J. Travanti (as overworked precinct captain Frank Furillo), Veronica Hamel, Bruce Weitz, Charles Haid, Betty Thomas and James Sikking.
