After he's nearly killed in a plot to steal the land he inherited, East Coast transplant John Abbott (Donald Woods) teams up with a band of cowboys led by Andrew Naab (Robert Barrat) to defend his ranch and bring down corrupt attorney Henry Holderness (C. Henry Gordon). Based on the novel by Zane Grey, this 1939 Western also stars Evelyn Venable as Naab's lovely daughter, Miriam, and Paul Fix as hired gun Chick Chance.
