Boxer Joe Pendleton (Robert Montgomery) crashes his plane just before a championship fight in this classic fantasy that won Best Story and Screenplay Oscars. Waking in heaven, Joe finds that his spirit has been prematurely snatched from his body. The celestial Mr. Jordan (Claude Rains) sends him back to Earth -- as crooked mogul Bruce Farnsworth. Now, Joe must clean up all of Farnsworth's messes while trying to regain his own career as a boxer.
