In Disney's animated take on Greek mythology, the heavenly Hercules (voiced by Tate Donovan) is stripped of his immortality and raised on Earth instead of Olympus, where he's forced to take on Hades (James Woods) and assorted monsters to claim his heroic birthright. Good thing he has friends -- and a willing trainer (Danny DeVito) who can whip him into shape. The film garnered an Oscar nod for Best Original Song ("Go the Distance").
