After losing all his money in the stock market, Ah Jie (Kang-sheng Lee) holes up in his apartment, growing and smoking marijuana, until despair drives him to call a suicide hotline and he promptly falls for hotline worker Chyi. But she's unwilling to entertain his overtures, leading him to project his desire for her onto Shin, a young woman with whom he begins an intense affair -- all the while stalking the elusive Chyi.
