Scientist Fred Miller (Tony Randall) will do anything in the name of science in this rib-tickling comedy. That's why he's agreed to live for one month underwater, in a home created especially for that purpose. His wife, Vivian (Janet Leigh), and his kids, however, aren't as enthusiastic about the enterprise. In spite of their misgivings, they go along with it anyway. But as expected, human nature has a way of messing up the best-laid plans.
