In the Old West (circa 1880), Angelina Rossi (Sophia Loren) and Tom Healy (Anthony Quinn) run a ragtag group of traveling actors and musicians who always manage to stay one step ahead of bill collectors, bandits, angry townsfolk and the law. George Cukor directs this Western based on a Louis L'Amour story about real-life theatrical equestrian performer Adah Isaacs Menken. Steve Forrest, Ramon Novarro and Margaret O'Brien co-star.
