Hell's House

Director Howard Higgin's gritty drama stars Junior Durkin as a juvenile delinquent named Jimmy, who gets snared in a bust and sent to a harsh detention center when the home of his bootlegger idol, Matt (Pat O'Brien), is raided by police. When his friend Shorty dies as a result of inhumane conditions at the center, Jimmy enlists Matt's girlfriend, Peggy (Bette Davis), to help him escape and expose the brutality of the country's youth prisons.
