Heimat 3: A Chronicle of Beginnings and Endings

Part 3 of Edgar Reitz's miniseries centers on lovers Hermann Simon (Henry Arnold) and Clarissa Lichtblau (Salome Kammer), who reunite as the Berlin Wall is torn down. The couple settles in a small village, a place not immune to the political and social changes of 1990s Germany. Hermann and his family and friends witness significant change as the U.S. military bases close down and the end of the Cold War opens relations between Germany and Russia.
