Jada Pinkett Smith stars as Christine Hawthorne, the tough but compassionate director of nursing at a metropolitan hospital who frequently butts heads with arrogant doctors and indifferent administrators in this hard-hitting medical drama. When she's not busy championing her patients' rights, the newly single mother struggles to raise her fiercely independent teenage daughter. Christina Moore and David Julian Hirsh co-star.
