A spinoff of the popular comedy Petticoat Junction, this first season of Green Acres tackled the goings-on in Hooterville, a rural farming community whose oddball residents don't quite fit with the arrival of New Yorkers Oliver Wendell Douglas (Eddie Albert) and his wife Lisa (Eva Gabor). Oliver was happy to leave his life as a lawyer in the city to live the slow life, but Lisa and her extravagant outfits never seemed to fit in on the farm.
