A spinoff from "The Andy Griffith Show," "Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C." features Jim Nabors reprising his role as the bumbling but lovable Gomer Pyle, who's left Mayberry to join the Marine Corps. Originally aired on CBS in 1964, the series revolves around Gomer's misadventures and how his innocent and harmless demeanor prevails in the face of adversity, especially with his hard-nosed drill sergeant, Vince Carter (Frank Sutton).
