Honesty doesn't pay: Just ask Inspector Vikram (Shashi Kapoor), who's been wrongfully arrested for possession of drugs. Suddenly, the upright and diligent officer finds his life unraveling as his mother dies of shame and he's sent to prison. There, he quickly sets to work honing the skills that do pay, vowing to become a career criminal. A good plan but for one thing: It will pit him against his own brother -- another honest cop.
