Playboy bachelor Bill Davis (Brian Keith) becomes the unlikely guardian of his brother's three children when a plane crash leaves them orphaned. Teenager Cissy (Kathy Garver) and 6-year-old twins Buffy and Jody (Anissa Jones, Johnny Whitaker) soon take over his posh Manhattan apartment ... and his heart. With the indispensable help of loyal British butler Mr. French (Sebastian Cabot), the unlikely quintet soon becomes a family.
