Margaret (Cher) is preparing to celebrate her 20th wedding anniversary, despite the fact that her marriage isn't much to celebrate. Her husband, Jack (Ryan O'Neal), claims to be working late, but she's sure he's with another woman. Depressed, Margaret sulks in the bathtub and is soon startled by the appearance of a man (Chazz Palminteri) whom Jack has hired to kill her. As the two start talking, will the hit man have a change of heart?
