Recently released from prison, Jason Locke (Sean Bean) returns home to regain control of the Essex underworld. Locke and prominent drug runner John Dyke (Tom Wilkinson) soon consummate a lucrative deal intended to show that Locke's back in town and ready for business. The deal, however, sets off a chain of events that could put Locke back on top or at the bottom of a grave.
