Erik the Viking

Erik the Viking (Tim Robbins) is tired of living in the darkness of the Age of Ragnorok -- so much so that he sets out on a quest to ask the gods to bring sunlight to his people. Along the way, he meets scores of colorful characters, including a cheerful torturer (John Cleese) and a rapist named Ernest (Jim Broadbent). Monty Python's Terry Jones writes and directs this late 1980s satire co-starring Neil Innes, Eartha Kitt and Mickey Rooney.
