These films are the first two parts of French new wave writer-director Eric Rohmer's six-part "Moral Tales" series. The Girl at the Monceau Bakery concerns a young man who approaches a girl in the street. Eventually, he must choose between her and another woman when he arranges dates with them on the same day. Suzanne's Career examines the relationship between two male friends and a girl, who at first appears easily exploited.
