Dispatched to uncover the names of Russian dissidents targeted by the KGB, Alex Holbeck (Martin Sheen) -- an East German defector turned CIA operative -- hopes to gain access to a ciphering device known as "Enigma." But upon arriving in Berlin to carry out the assignment, Holbeck's cover is mysteriously blown, and his only sanctuary is in the arms of a former lover (Brigitte Fossey). The solid supporting cast includes Sam Neill and Derek Jacobi.
