Set during the infamous World War II siege of Stalingrad, this potent thriller follows a battle of wits and wills between renowned Russian sharpshooter Vassili Zaitsev (Jude Law) and top German sniper Maj. König (Ed Harris). When propaganda from a Red Army apparatchik (Joseph Fiennes) turns Zaitsev into a living legend, it draws the attention of König, who comes gunning for his enemy counterpart.
