After the death of her father, Emily (Martha MacIsaac) goes to live with her strict Aunt Elizabeth (Susan Clark) and kind Aunt Laura (Sheila McCarthy). As she adjusts to her new surroundings and family, Emily lets her active imagination run wild, which often gets her into lots of trouble. The first season of this Canadian television series finds Emily developing her writing skills, attending a new school and learning more about her mother.
