With an eye on winning the heart of her profit-conscious boss (Van Johnson), swimming starlet Julie Hallerton (Esther Williams) pulls every trick in the book to turn his head. But he's far more concerned with boosting ticket sales and luring crowds to Julie's show. Legendary choreographer Busby Berkeley puts his stamp on this big-screen vehicle for Williams's aquatic talents with a showstopping water ski number.
