When upstanding Michael's (Boris Kodjoe) 7-year-old son is caught in the wrong place at the wrong time and is gunned down during a botched drug deal, Michael is overcome with grief. His sorrow turns to rage when his son's killers are given a light sentence. Determined to obtain justice, Michael purposely gets himself arrested so he can take matters into his own hands … but it soon becomes clear that jail may not be the answer.
