A war veteran suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome reconciles with his estranged son in this emotionally charged drama. After returning from Vietnam, scarred soldier Mark Lambert (John Lithgow) and his army buddies head into the woods to live a life of self-imposed exile. Fifteen years later, Lambert emerges from the forest to search for his son (Ralph Macchio), but the emotional reunion causes Lambert to relive the horrors of war.
