When nightclub owner and criminal mastermind Simon (Richard Crenna) pulls off a stunning heist in a small seaside town, the police detective sent to investigate the crime is none other than his good friend Commissaire Coleman (Alain Delon). Worse, as Coleman begins to unravel the case, Simon's girlfriend starts an affair with the cop. Directed by Jean-Pierre Melville, this intense French film noir co-stars Catherine Deneuve.
