But the scheming ladies' murderous plot has one gaping hole: Their victim may not be dead. Jeremiah S. Chechik directed this Hollywood reworking of Henri-Georges Clouzot's classic French thriller Les Diaboliques. The topnotch supporting cast includes Shirley Knight and Oscar-winner Kathy Bates.
