Stricken with writer's block, Iranian author Mahmoud (Homayoun Ershadi) seeks inspiration in memories of his privileged childhood in post-World War II Tehran, a magical time when he would fantasize about his vibrant, beautiful older cousin, M (Golshifteh Farahani). As his imagination traces the trajectory of his past, he reflects upon his current inability to produce any work. Dariush Mehrjui directs this lyrical drama.
