Stuck on a 20-year mission to destroy unstable worlds, the weary crew of Dark Starcan barely remember their home planet, Earth. When an asteroid storm short-circuits the vessel's weapons system, the astronauts and senior surviving officer Lt. Doolittle (Brian Narelle) must talk a "smart bomb" out of killing them all. This surreal parody of 2001: A Space Odyssey marked John Carpenter's directorial debut. Also includes the director's cut.
