"Dallas" was a television pioneer, debuting as the first nighttime soap opera in 1978. It became an instant hit with everyone wanting to take a peek into the rich, oil-filled lives of the Ewings, a wealthy Texas family. Headed by the delightfully evil J.R. (Larry Hagman), the Ewing clan also consisted of a stellar supporting cast, including Miss Ellie (Barbara Bel Geddes), Sue Ellen (Linda Gray) and Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy).
