Critical Condition

Eddie (Richard Pryor) is a convicted criminal who's faked insanity to avoid going to prison and now resides in a New York hospital's psychiatric ward. When a hurricane-force wind disrupts the hospital's electrical power, Eddie hopes to escape by disguising himself as a doctor -- only to be pressed into service as the blackout's primary physician. Co-stars Joe Mantegna, Ruben Blades, Rachel Ticotin, Sylvia Miles and Jon Polito.
