Stephen Baldwin is Bobby Mahon, an actor playing a notorious serial killer on a prime-time crime reenactment television program. The show becomes a hit, which encourages the real-life murderer on whom it's based (Pete Postlethwaite) to up the ante and go on a spree in hopes that his recent misdeeds will be translated on-screen. Soon, Bobby feels controlled by the killer's actions. Can he escape the vicious cycle?
