Rita Hayworth vamps it up as Rusty Parker, a Brooklyn dancer longing to see her name in Broadway lights in this Academy Award-winning musical featuring the tunes of Jerome Kern and George Gershwin. On the way to the top, she nabs the attention of lots of rich and powerful men, but is her best friend, Danny McGuire (Gene Kelly), her true love?
