Singing, dancing and showgirls galore enliven this musical comedy set in the famed New York nightclub The Copacabana. Groucho Marx (in his first film appearance without his brothers) plays sleazy theatrical agent Lionel Devereaux; his one client is none other than fruit-bedecked songstress Carmen Miranda. Comic shenanigans ensue when Devereaux books her for two appearances at the club on the same night -- as two different people!
