In Father's Little Dividend (a sequel to Father of the Bride), Liz is in a family way, much to the chagrin of her father (Spencer Tracy). In Life with Father, Taylor grows up in turn-of-the-century New York City. And in The Last Time I Saw Paris, Taylor (along with Donna Reed and Van Johnson) negotiates a somber City of Light right after the throes of World War II.
