Dreaming of finding a new route to the Indies, Christopher Columbus (George Corraface) asks Spanish Queen Isabella (Rachel Ward) and King Ferdinand (Tom Selleck) for financial backing. They agree to fund him, but not before subjecting him to a grueling interrogation by the head of the Spanish Inquisition, Tomas de Torquemada (Marlon Brando). Once he sets sail, Columbus faces sabotage and mutiny as he journeys to discover a new world.
