Mistaken identity, cross-dressing, gender confusion and the gap between the upper and lower classes are at the heart of writer-director Jeffrey Lau's hilarious send up of melodramatic Chinese epics. Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Vicki Zhao star as innkeeper siblings who find their lives turned upside down when they cross paths with an emperor (Chang Chen) and his sister (Faye Wong), who are desperate to escape the trappings of their royal existence.
