Based on Shirley Temple's autobiography, this made-for-TV biopic paints an upbeat portrait of the showbiz legend. Concentrating on her career heyday during the Great Depression -- during which time she starred in nearly 40 movies before the age of 10 -- the film also looks at the relationship between Temple (played by newcomer Ashley Rose Orr) and her supportive parents (Connie Britton and Colin Friels).
