When Jersey City fishmongers Joe and Betty (Edward James Olmos, Maria Conchita Alonso) take a strange drifter into their empty nest, it isn't long before the interloper is horning in on the family business. He beds Betty and alienates the couple's grown son, who takes extreme measures to keep his family together. A gritty noirish thriller that brings renewed meaning to the phrase, "sleeping with the fishes."
