In the remote alpine village of Tolzbad, residents not only suppress their voices to avoid avalanches, but also their darkest secrets and desires. When shocking revelations of murder and incest surface, the town begins to disintegrate. Directed by Canadian filmmaker Guy Maddin, this surreal dark comedy is shot in the style of classic German Expressionist films and includes a deliberately rough soundtrack.
