During China's Jin Dynasty, a time when school was reserved only for males, determined young Zhu, a female, dresses up as a boy to get an education. She falls in love with fellow student Liang, who is not aware of her true gender. When Zhu's parents arrange for her to marry someone else, she'll either have to reveal her secret or live a life without true love in this animated tale derived from traditional Chinese folklore.
