Bruce Li portrays the legendary Bruce Lee in this biography concentrating on his film work and personal life. The story touches on Lee's first years teaching martial arts in the United States, his marriage and his first steps toward stardom. Also shown are the constant challenges to his martial arts mastery off-screen; his affair with actress Betty Ting Pei; and his untimely death (he was 32) of a brain edema at the peak of his fame.
