As the dance halls of early 1900s New Orleans burst with the music of jazz legend Buddy Bolden (Anthony Mackie) and his band, fans and fellow musicians swing to his loud, ornamental style -- until fate delivers him a cruel and debilitating blow. Reno Wilson stars as Louis Armstrong, Omar Gooding as trombonist Willie Cornish and Jackie Earle Haley as Judge Perry in this drama about one of the cornet kings of New Orleans.
