Bill "Bojangles" Robinson headlined vaudeville and Broadway for almost 30 years and danced alongside Shirley Temple in countless Hollywood movies in the 1930's. During his lifetime, Bojangles single-handedly broke racial barriers, and earned more money than any African-American performer of his time.
