A young medical student (Boguslaw Linda) finds himself at the proverbial fork in the road. He has many alternatives, but the wrong choice could end in disaster, and he doesn't have the luxury of time to mull over his options. Polish director Krzysztof Kieslowski lenses three different possible futures for our beleaguered hero -- from three diametrically opposite points of view. This movie (completed in 1982) was originally banned in Poland.
