A grubby bookstore and its equally grubby owner -- antisocial alcoholic Bernard Black (Dylan Moran) -- are at the center of the action in this sublimely silly and often surreal British sitcom. In the second season, Bernard and his pals Manny (Bill Bailey) and Fran (Tamsin Greig) continue their antics in and out of the shop as Fran begins piano lessons, Bernard and Manny take up teaching and Bernard finds proof that Manny's mad.
