Work-release prisoner Eddie Burton (Casper Van Dien) is sent to a horse farm and is entrusted to nurse a prize racehorse, Big Spender, back to winning form. Once a world-class contender, Big Spender has fallen victim to an abusive owner; he was even left for dead at one point and subsequently lost the drive to live … or win. Now, it's Eddie's responsibility to nurse the horse back to health and turn him into the champion he once was.
