Betsy (Molly Ringwald) is getting married. It's that moment that families, especially fathers, anxiously await -- and secretly dread. The wedding plans trigger an outrageous series of battles between the bride and groom's respective parents (including Alan Alda and Madeline Kahn) over the size and tenor of the affair.
