Bandit Queen

Based on the true story of an infamous female warrior, this drama tells the tale of Phoolan Devi (Seema Biswas), a social pariah in her Indian town who forms a group of Robin Hood-like criminals to "redistribute" landowners' wealth to poor tenant farmers. After suffering childhood abuse at the hands of local villagers, Devi seeks revenge through a massacre that kills 20, then creates the gang that will turn her into a legendary folk hero.
